To meet these objectives, Inspirare has developed four programs:

Porvir uses communication and social mobilization strategies to inform society about trends and innovations in education and guide innovative education practices.

Enterprise Initiatives encourages, strengthens and coordinates entrepreneurs and social businesses that propose innovative education solutions.

Educational Laboratories coordinates public authorities, communities and schools to experiment innovations in education and inspire new teaching models and practices.

Innovative Public Education focuses on public policies and supports education networks in the development and implantation of innovations in education.

What we stand for

Inspirare’s objectives and programs are all guided by what the institute calls Innovative Holistic Education. In today’s world, younger generations see things very differently to those that preceded them. Technology has changed the world and climate threats have shown that global society’s model of organization and operation is no longer viable. However, our current model of education does not address these questions and demands.

Inspirare believes we must develop a new concept of education. The main aims of Innovative Holistic Education are the development of the student in all facets of life and answering the demands of today’s world and the interests of children, teenagers and young people of the 21st century.

The defining premise of Innovative Holistic Education is the idea that the student must always be at the center of the teaching and learning process. In order for this to happen, everyone involved in the student’s development must plan their activities based on general information about the profile of younger generations, as well as specific details about each student, including where they live, their own personal characteristics and the way in which they learn. It is also important that the educational opportunities offered make sense and manage to engage the students, as well as making them reflect on what they are learning and how they are learning it. The students also must be given space to take ownership of and responsibility for their own education, while collaborating with the development of their peers, teachers, school and community. Above all, it is imperative that each one of these students acquires the skills necessary to gain their independence and realize their life plan in the 21st century.
